FIFA World Cup 2022 Starting Date / Final Date

So many are confused with the starting date of the FIFA World Cup 2022. Why? The reason is that the FIFA World Cup is held in the month of June-July when the club football is on break. But, this time, the FIFA World Cup is being held in November and December. Again, Why?

The reason is the extreme heat wave in Qatar during the June-July season. The months of November and December are considerably cooler and would provide a great atmosphere for the football matches. This will not only be great for players but also for spectators who plan to travel to Qatar.

The FIFA World Cup 2022 will start on 20th November with hosts Qatar taking on Senegal in the opening match. The final will be played on 18th December 2022 which is also Qatar’s National day.
